But I'm more curious about your reason for so declaring and wanted to ask a quick follow-up: When did Lehi and Nephi ever visit Zarahemla?

Lehi had his land of first inheritance, which, after Lehi's death, Nephi left with those who would follow him. But that's not Zarahemla. Nephi's party (the Nephites) then established the Land of Nephi. But, again, not Zarahemla. The Nephites don't reach Zarahemla until King Mosiah I, at around 200 B.C.ish, or roughly 400 years after Lehi left Jerusalem.

If your "evidence that [the Book of Mormon lands] cannot be in NA" is similar to your evidence for why Neville's Zarahemla doesn't "make sense," I may be a little skeptical of your evidence.Russhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05263912077675667154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6275804374019732213.post-36730240537492360002016-05-23T16:02:52.986-07:002016-05-23T16:02:52.986-07:00Hi, I'm new here but I've studied the BOM ...Hi, I'm new here but I've studied the BOM geography for many years. I don't see how anybody can even consider the North American model for the BOM. I'd love to discuss this in detail with anybody here. The only model that works is South America. The Nephicode blog has done a great job of laying that model out completely. Your Zarhelmla is in the wrong place. How did Lehi and Nephi even get there. Nothing makes since. Still I'd love to discuss.

It seems that your only defense for North America is that the early saints/leaders believed it to be the right place. There is plenty of evidence that it cannot be in NA. Well - That's my thoughts. Let's discuss. I hav...I'm convinced beyond a reasonable doubt. I have arrived at that position because I have followed your blogs (this one and your others related to Book of Mormon Geography) almost since you started (I think it was about September 2014). As well as the effect that the articles written by the Mesoamericanists at MI had in "proving" to me that all of their research and all of their "correspondences" were all basically hogwash. I really feel sorry for them.Steven Montgomeryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02291046612560917501noreply@blogger.com
