I wish I could defend Book of Mormon Central, but at this point, I can't.
jonathan3dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05379975395372054926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6275804374019732213.post-78165804138481187302016-07-09T08:52:26.836-07:002016-07-09T08:52:26.836-07:00I still think it's strange that Book of Mormon...I still think it's strange that Book of Mormon Central is largely influenced by this organization. I mean, they really could offer a neutral point of view while discussing important Book of Mormon Doctrine. I have family don't completely subscribe to the North American model, but don't completely subscribe to the Mesoamerican model either, and they are kind of turned off by Book of Mormon Central's content in refering almost completely to Mesoamerica for context. As long as you're not buying into Mesoamerica stuff they're feeding you, it seems neutral otherwise.

The problem is, and you've said it before, most members (who care) don't know any different than Central America. It's concerning because you miss a whole lot of context in Book of Mormon Prophecy when trying to associate with an unknown (and largely uninhabited, except for tourists) land.Roryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15464871210618980262noreply@blogger.com
