More Baja propagandizing: avoiding the FAITH model

I am continually amazed at how difficult it appears to be for LDS apologists (and critics) to pursue clarity, charity and understanding.

It is simple, really.

For clarity, just start with Facts. Then explain your various Assumptions, Inferences, and Theories, then conclude with your Hypothesis. Trust your audience to make informed decisions.

It's the FAITH model of analysis.

Very simple. 

Yet hardly anyone does it. 

The latest example comes from the Stick of Joseph YouTube channel. On my Letter VII blog, I've been assessing their podcast about Cumorah and Baja. 

Look at the juxtaposition of this title with the graphic. The table in the graphic censors Oliver Cowdery's Letter VII to omit (hide) Oliver's statement of fact. Then the title of the podcast says "The Hill Cumorah Historical Accounts: Truth and Tradition."

How could any podcast get more Orwellian than this?

The critics are just as bad. 

Thus we have Informed Saints, the Stick of Joseph, the Interpreter, Mormon Stories, and lots of others who seem determined to prevent their viewers from making informed decisions. 

Apparently it is more profitable to confirm the bias of viewers than to inform viewers, but still...

I hope podcast viewers/listeners will start insisting that the podcasts they follow adopt the FAITH model of analysis going forward.
