When I was in Lebanon years ago, we visited Baalbek. I bought this memento, a curved metal shield that is about 12 inches in diameter:
I still have a piece of shrapnel from an Israeli bomb, along with fossilized seashells that the bomb uncovered, that I collected on the top of a mountain in Lebanon.
Lebanon is a fabulous place. The people are wonderful. Let's all hope that the scourge of hatred based on the "traditions of the fathers" will vanish with the rising generations.
